Notes from the front lines

Tonight Washington insiders and CIA spooks are cuddled up with their teddy bears and asking how may sleeps before we can impeach the President?

The Donald ploughs on, oblivious of the maelstrom surrounding him. His defence is that “it is a witch hunt” and he seems unmindful of the precedence of Salem in the last decade of the 17th century. Salem “has been used in political rhetoric and popular literature as a vivid cautionary tale about the dangers of isolationism, religious extremism, false accusations, and lapses in due process.” (Wikipedia. .)

The Donald was the one person, who more than anyone else sought to bring to the fore the concept of fake news. It would seem from here on the front lines that he may soon be hoisted on his own petard. It would appear that pussy grabbing will not save him and even Putin, the Russia President, may not save him. The Republicans have no need to save him, after all they have Dollars and Pence to step up to the plate should he stumble.

Like many real estate developers before him he dreamed of draining the swamp in order to build mansions for the chosen few. What did not occur to him is that when you drain the Washington swamp you leave alligators wandering at large looking for morsels on which to chew.
