The students are revolting against climate stupidity

I was so proud of the thousands of young articulate students who walked out of class yesterday, the 30th November, in rural towns and capital cities right round Australia.

They were protesting against the Morrison conservative government’s failure to address climate change issues. Morrison had told them to stay at school and not strike.

His loopy resources minister, Matt Canavan had said he wanted kids to stay in school “to learn how to mine coal and drill for oil”

My favourite placard at the demonstrations was “I’ve seen smarter cabinets at Ikea”.

I think Australia Day should be shifted from the 26th of January to the 30th of November given that this was the day our young people reached for the future.
